Operations Started at Sociedad Portuaria del Norte

- 1,314.60 tons of cake

Project of mechanical grain warehouses

Sociedad Portuaria de Santa Marta, through its affiliate Operlog S.A., upgrades and increases its offer of services and warehousing of clean bulk and cargo in general with the construction of 3 warehouses with 15,000 ton static capacity. The system will have two mechanical warehouses. The project is being constructed with the tilt-up system, new in Colombia and unique within the Atlantic Coast. The Minister of Transportation inaugurated the coal dock of Carbosán Ltda.

The Minister of Transportation, Andrés Uriel Gallego inaugurated the coal dock of Carbosán Ltda., which allows the direct loading of the mineral with no environmental impact. He also announced that this infrastructure implies the expansion of railway capacity from the Department of Cesar to Ciénaga and Santa Marta.

We are pleased to inform you that DIAN (Tax & Customs Administration) issued Resolution 02406 of March 24, 2004 approving Santa Marta to receive textiles. As of this date, textile imports may arrive at the Port of Santa Marta.
